On Thursday, December 25, the congregational worship team PRESENCE of Tokyo Antioch Church held a Christmas concert at a day service center in Kita Ward.
As the visit took place on a different day than usual, more than half of the attendees were first-time listeners. Many enjoyed the concert by waving flags and fans, and some were deeply moved, listening with tears in their eyes.
Along with Christmas songs, PRESENCE sang together with Mint, JOY, Immanuel, and Gifts. This time, a clear presentation of the gospel was also given in connection with the Christmas message.
Former churchgoers expressed their joy, saying, “It felt just like being in church.” Others commented, “I’m so glad I came today,” “It was my first time, but I really enjoyed it,” “This will be a lifetime memory,” and “Even if it’s not my service day, I want to come again.” Some even requested that the team come to their homes to sing.
Staff members also shared their appreciation, saying, “Those who heard the music for the first time were truly delighted. Many asked when you would come again, and everyone had such a wonderful time. We look forward to next year as well.”
All glory be to the Lord.
Footage from the concert is available to view online.

During the music therapy segment, everyone enjoyed moving their bodies together and singing “Furusato.” The atmosphere was filled with joy.
Some listeners were moved to tears during songs such as “Great Love” and “You Were Born to Be Loved.” For the finale, “God Is Love,” residents joined in by forming an “L” with their fingers and singing along, creating a lively and heartwarming moment.
