Testimony of Healing from Panic Disorder Shared at Healing Gathering on February 14

On February 14, a Healing Gathering was held at Tokyo Antioch Church.

On this occasion, Yuki Hoshina, who is active as a gospel enka singer, shared his testimony of recovery from panic disorder.

In the autumn of 2022, he suddenly began experiencing intense anxiety, heart palpitations, and hyperventilation, and was diagnosed with panic disorder. At one point, the fear became so strong that he struggled even during worship while singing praises.

However, through thanksgiving, prayer, and the support of the church, he gradually recovered. One day, while serving without taking medication, he found himself able to sing with genuine joy from his heart and realized that he had experienced complete healing.

He is now free from symptoms and continues to serve in praise ministry in various locations.

In the autumn of 2022, Yuki Hoshina suddenly experienced an intense sense of anxiety at her workplace—something he had never felt before. He developed heart palpitations and mild hyperventilation, and after visiting a psychosomatic clinic, he was diagnosed with panic disorder.

Panic disorder is a condition in which sudden and overwhelming fear—often accompanied by symptoms such as palpitations, shortness of breath, nausea, trembling, dizziness, and sweating—occurs without an apparent cause. Although individual attacks usually subside naturally within about ten minutes, their unexpected nature often leads to persistent anxiety about future episodes.

From that day, he began taking anti-anxiety medication. Although he had not previously struggled with tension, he began to feel intense anxiety and later shared that during special praise times at Sunday worship, he sometimes felt as if he wanted to escape from the situation.

During this period, he continued to give thanks to God, pray, and sing “Kankan Kansha,” while also receiving intercessory prayer from members of the church. Through this, his symptoms gradually began to ease.

Subsequently, he contracted COVID-19, and his physical condition became very severe. During that time, he forgot to take his panic disorder medication and took only the medication prescribed for COVID.

After recovering from COVID, a day came when he stood to serve in praise ministry without having taken his panic medication for some time. On the day of the service, he realized he had not taken it. Although abruptly stopping antidepressant or anti-anxiety medication can sometimes cause withdrawal symptoms, he experienced no difficulties at all and was able to sing joyfully and freely from her heart.

At that moment, he realized that she had been completely healed.

Furthermore, on that same day of praise ministry, he received an invitation from a large church in Shizuoka Prefecture after someone there had watched the music video for “Kankan Kansha.” Since then, he has already served there four times and has been given opportunities to share his testimony of healing from panic disorder.

At present, his panic symptoms have been fully healed, and he continues to serve joyfully in praise ministry in various locations.

The Healing Gathering is open to everyone.
We warmly invite you to join us at the next gathering as well.

Czech Catholic Newspaper Reports on Father Jakub’s Visit to Nagasaki

An ecumenical group from the Czech Republic visited Nagasaki at the invitation of Japanese Protestants, where they prayed for reconciliation and Christian unity.

This year marked the first time that a representative of the Japanese Catholic Church participated in the annual gathering of the TLEA Church held in Nagasaki.

The visit took place as part of an ongoing exchange that began with a Catholic–Protestant reconciliation event in Bíla Hora in 2020, commemorating the 400th anniversary of the Battle of White Mountain. Jakub Sadílek, Provincial Minister of the Franciscan Order in the Czech Republic, commented that the expanding movement of reconciliation has drawn significant response and interest.

Nagasaki is known as the site where the Twenty-Six Martyrs of Japan, including Paul Miki, were crucified in 1597. Following this, severe persecution continued in Japan, including the expulsion of missionaries ordered by Toyotomi Hideyoshi in 1587. Despite these hardships, communities of believers—later known as Hidden Christians—preserved their faith for nearly 200 years without priests.

Today, Christians make up approximately 2 percent of Japan’s population.

“KOKORO GOSPEL LOUNGE” Event Held

On Thursday, February 12, 2026, the gospel event “KOKORO GOSPEL LOUNGE”, organized by The Vision, was held at Nakanoba, located on the first floor of Nakano City Office.

Five groups performed at the event: Ayu, Lumiere, Gospel Seed, Plaisir, and Joshua. The newly introduced ticket purchasing system worked smoothly, and some attendees who were watching the rehearsal before the performance purchased tickets on the spot via a QR code. Additional ticket purchases followed, reflecting the strong interest in the event.

The venue welcomed many visitors, including returning attendees. During the performances, some audience members were deeply moved by the gospel music and were seen shedding tears, making it a powerful moment in which the gospel clearly reached hearts. There was also an attendee who traveled from Fukushima Prefecture after discovering a gospel group through Instagram.

The next “KOKORO GOSPEL LOUNGE” is scheduled to be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026. We warmly look forward to welcoming many more guests at the upcoming event.

2026 Hollywood Team Return Report

Thank you very much for all your prayers.
We have returned safely to Japan today.

Following the Martyrs’ Commemoration Service on February 5, the team traveled to the United States. On the day of arrival, we attended the red carpet event and awards ceremony, covering the event as Movieguide Japan.

At the Movieguide Sunday service, the message began with the word from God, “An animated film on the Twenty-Six Martyrs from Hollywood.” We were given the opportunity to share a testimony about our encounter with Ted Baehr, as well as to speak about the differences between this vision and the film Silence.

We also showed the English-subtitled version of the video we produced, “A Legacy Passed On: 800 Years from Francis of Assisi,” to members of the Catholic community.

We were blessed with time for prayer in the Prayer Chapel at Church on the Way, and we are grateful that our travel and driving were protected throughout the trip.

We give thanks to God for all that He has done.

A person who had been attending Tokyo Antioch Church in a wheelchair has experienced healing and has now begun walking rehabilitation

Through prayers for healing, the individual was protected from a serious condition that could have required amputation of the leg. Recently, a doctor confirmed, “With this condition, walking is possible,” and walking training has now begun.

After several years of living in a wheelchair, the abundant grace and healing of the Lord are clearly at work. We give heartfelt thanks for the wonderful work the Lord has done.
