An earthquake has occurred near Mindanao in the Philippines.
The following is a report from Cora in the Philippines:
We are currently attending a Ministers’ Fellowship in Davao. While traveling to the venue, we experienced a major earthquake.
We are safe.
According to reports, buildings collapsed in parts of Mindanao, particularly in Sarangani Province, following a magnitude 8.0 earthquake. In Davao City, shaking measuring magnitude 6.8 was felt.
Due to aftershocks and tsunami warnings, work and classes have been suspended. Coastal communities in particular remain on high alert.
