On Saturday, January 24, 2026, Praise Team JOY held its second solo concert at a special nursing home for the elderly in Kita Ward, Tokyo.
The concert featured a total of nine praise songs, including an encore. Adding to the joyful atmosphere were special handmade fans prepared with great care by the facility staff, bearing messages such as “God is Love” and “Gratitude.” As the colorful fans swayed to the rhythm of the music, the venue was filled with a deep sense of unity and joy.
During the concert, JOY shared a testimony based on Luke 12:6, reminding everyone that each and every person is deeply loved.
After the performance, a staff member commented warmly, “Everyone had really been looking forward to today. They are already saying they can’t wait for your visit next month. It’s only January, but we’d love to schedule a concert again at the end of this year!”
We are truly grateful for this wonderful encounter and the opportunity to offer praise that God has prepared. Cherishing each visit, we hope to return again, carrying God’s joy, hope, and love.

From Friday, February 6 to Wednesday, February 11, 2026, a Hollywood team will be sent to Japan for six days.
Please remember this team in your prayers, as we seek the fulfillment of the promise God has given us: “To bring the story of the Twenty-Six Martyrs to the world through an animated film from Hollywood.”
We sincerely ask for your continued prayer support so that this vision may be accomplished according to God’s will.
We are pleased to report that the European mission trip concluded with great blessing, and the team has safely returned to Japan.
The countdown has now begun for the 2026 Japan Twenty-Six Martyrs Memorial Service, with fewer than ten days remaining. Through much prayer and careful preparation, we are approaching this important gathering.
This year, we are especially honored to welcome Father Jakob, the highest-ranking leader of the Franciscan Order from the Czech Republic, along with Pastor David. In addition, Pastor Tsugimichi Ohkawa of Yamato Calvary Chapel—the largest Protestant church in Japan—and his successor, Pastor Eiji Koyama, will also join us to minister.
Please note that offerings cannot be received at Nishizaka during the morning and afternoon services. Therefore, we would be very grateful if offerings could be given in advance.
Over the years, the Martyrs Memorial Service has been richly blessed through the generous giving of many. This year, however, the needs are even greater. We are thankful that many churches and individuals have already given joyfully.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to all who have contributed.
At this stage, 60% of the required budget has been provided. We kindly and earnestly ask for your continued prayers and support so that all remaining needs may be fully met.
Thank you very much for your cooperation and support.
