On April 13th, “GRACIOUS DOORS” held a volunteer concert at a day service in Tokyo, and approximately 30 people attended.
When they sang “Genki wo Dashite” (Cheer Up), an elderly gentleman who usually sits hunched over suddenly straightened his upper body, smiled, and swayed while listening, which surprised everyone!
They started by reading the lyrics of “Kansha Man” (Gratitude Man) written on a large sheet of paper together, then sang it accompanied by guitar, which was a big hit. They sang it again for the encore, and were told, “Let’s sing it together every time from now on!”
Everyone seemed delighted, and they are truly grateful to God for making it such a enjoyable concert.
On April 13th (Saturday), a healing gathering was held at Tokyo Antioch Church. During the first half, during the mini-live performance by HYSSOP, Ms. Noe shared her experience of being healed from overeating disorder.
When Noe was a sophomore in high school, she experienced a change in her environment and developed abnormal eating habits, leading to overeating disorder. Even when her stomach was full, she would continue to think about food, eat until she felt sick, get sleepy after eating, and gained 5 kilograms. Around the age of 10, she drifted away from the church and eventually found employment with no solution in sight.
At the age of 19, she met a missionary and returned to the church. Realizing that Jesus Christ is the healer, she prayed every day to be healed. As a result, her heart was healed, the overeating disorder disappeared, her weight returned to normal, and she was completely healed.
During Pastor Daniel Mori’s message, a story about warts being healed was shared. After sewing a stitch on the little finger of his right hand, a large wart appeared. Despite working in customer service, it would crack and bleed in winter, causing a lot of trouble and seeking healing. However, no matter how much he prayed, it didn’t heal.
His faith was uplifted when he read an article about warts being healed in a church newspaper. Later, after changing jobs, the wart had completely disappeared.
On Sunday, April 14th, the J Gospel Contest Kanto Preliminary Round in Hakuba will be held at Hyatt Regency Tokyo starting from 17:00. The applicant teams are expected to gather at the hall by 16:45.
