“KOKORO GOSPEL LOUNGE” Held on April 16

“KOKORO GOSPEL LOUNGE” was held on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

On the day of the event, Ayu, Lumiere, Spring of Life, TrueVine, Gospel Seed, Plaisir, and Noah performed, delivering gospel music across three stages.

Many returning guests attended, and some were moved to tears as they listened to the gospel music.

A Christian visitor from outside the prefecture expressed surprise that all the performing groups and staff belonged to the same church.

In addition, venue staff shared their impressions, saying, “We were all saying how it felt like our hearts were being cleansed.”

Several attendees also expressed a desire to participate in “Kokoro Gospel,” which will be held on May 1, making it a truly blessed concert.

Taiwan Team Invited by Prefectural Government

A team from Taiwan, scheduled to be sent out on April 20, has been invited by the local governor to visit the prefectural government office.

On the day of the visit, the governor is expected to personally welcome the team. They will receive an introduction to the region’s administration and culture, followed by a time of fellowship and exchange. In addition, there are plans for a discussion session, as well as moments of praise and prayer. The visit is expected to last approximately one hour.

Please keep this visit in your prayers, that it may be guided according to God’s will.

Taiwan Mission Team to Be Sent

A mission team to Taiwan will be sent from April 20 (Mon) to April 23 (Thu), or possibly until April 24 depending on ministry activities.

This will be a practical training mission team. Participants must currently be enrolled in the “Overseas Missions II” course at the seminary and have received approval from Pastor Akimoto.

Those who wish to participate are asked to contact the Asia Department by the end of today, April 12.

Testimony of Healing Shared at the April 11 Healing Service

At the Healing Service held on April 11 at Tokyo Antioch Church, a testimony was shared regarding the recovery of the grandfather of Ms. Nobue Saito.

At the age of 92, he suffered from dementia and went missing, later being found and taken into protective custody by the police. At that time, he was discovered to have not only a fractured neck but also a burst fracture of the thoracic spine, requiring surgery. Doctors explained that they had never performed such a surgery on someone of his age and that the outcome was uncertain.

The church prayed earnestly for the success of the operation. After surgery, he experienced severe complications, including difficulty swallowing, and was unable to take food or water by mouth. Doctors indicated that even with institutional care, recovery would be unlikely.

His family began preparing to care for him at home until the end of his life. However, as Ms. Saito read the Bible in tears, she received words such as, “The Lord protects all his bones; not one of them will be broken,” and “The prayer of faith will heal the sick,” which led her to pray earnestly for his healing.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, updates were received by phone. Initially, he received nutrition through a nasal tube in the morning and evening, but was gradually able to eat blended food at lunchtime. Within a week, the feeding tube was removed, and he was able to eat three meals a day by mouth.

He regained strength and began walking again. After being discharged two months later, he clearly prayed, “I will serve You.” Though he had previously had a speech impairment since childhood, his speech also improved.

His case was later presented at a medical conference. He lived in good health afterward and passed away peacefully at the age of 94.

April 8: We received a message from Mikako

“It seems that a ceasefire has been declared for now, but there was still a missile attack this morning (April 8), so people still can’t quite believe it and are cautiously watching the situation.

In any case, because of this war, all Israeli citizens have been suffering from lack of sleep and extreme stress, so I pray that over these next two weeks they will recover both physically and mentally.

I hope that things will remain peaceful and that we can continue to live without incident, but since God’s will is best, I am praying to the Lord that only His will be done.

Thank you so much for your continued prayers from the bottom of my heart!”
