We have confirmed the existence of scam emails that use Pastor Paul Akimoto’s name and request a reply containing a personal LINE QR code.
These emails were not sent by Pastor Paul Akimoto himself or by the church.
If you receive an email like the one below, please do not reply to it or send your LINE QR code or personal information.

Once you have read this email, please reply with the QR code for your personal LINE account. After you send it and we verify the details, we will add you to our LINE contact list. Please note that the QR code will be handled appropriately and used solely for the purpose of adding you to our work-related LINE account. Thank you for your cooperation. Paul Akimoto

If you receive a similar email, please take the following actions:
・Do not reply to the email. ・Do not send your LINE QR code or personal information. ・Do not open any attached files or links. ・Block the sender and delete the email.
Even if Pastor Paul Akimoto’s name appears in the email, it does not necessarily mean it was sent by him. Do not judge based solely on the sender’s name; please be sure to check the sender’s email address as well.
If you have even the slightest suspicion, do not reply to the email; instead, please contact the church representative directly using your usual method of communication.
If you have already sent a LINE QR code or personal information, please update your LINE QR code immediately.
To prevent harm, please also alert your family and those around you.
