On March 21, GRACIOUS DOORS held a volunteer concert at a day service center in Tokyo, with approximately 18 people in attendance.
During the concert, one elderly woman who appeared to be in poor health quietly moved her lips to the songs and joined in with gentle clapping. Near the end of the concert, she spoke to a staff member with a serious expression. At first, it seemed she might be complaining about the noise, but to our surprise, she was actually saying, “This is wonderful,” and was truly enjoying the concert. We were deeply encouraged and very happy to hear this.
This concert marked the 101st performance at this location.
For the encore, we sang “Let’s Give Overflowing Thanks” and “Kansha Man” once again. At that time, the assistant facility director also joined us, and together with everyone at the venue, sang and danced, creating a joyful and lively atmosphere.
Everyone was smiling and seemed to enjoy the concert very much.
We are sincerely grateful to God for blessing this concert.
