Yokosuka Church’s praise band, Come & Worship, Sara Maeda with Family Band, and ISRAEL performed at the Yokosuka City-sponsored “Yokosuka Countdown 2026.”
More than 1,000 people gathered in front of the outdoor stage at Verny Park to listen to original J-gospel songs and gospel songs like “You Were Born to Be Loved.” During “God is Love ~Love is Everything,” many people formed L shapes with their fingers or light sticks, clapping and dancing along.
After the countdown, the entire cast performed “Happy New Year YOKOSUKA ~ God Bless Yokosuka,” written and composed by Pastor David Maeda, during the New Year’s concert. The crowd celebrated the New Year in Yokosuka with great excitement.
