PRESENCE Invited to Perform at a Facility for People with Disabilities

On Thursday, December 11, the congregational praise team PRESENCE from Tokyo Antioch Church was invited to hold a concert at a facility for people with disabilities, located next to a day service center in Kita Ward that the team visits monthly.

The concert lasted just under 40 minutes and was held in a spacious hall. Approximately 80 people, including facility users and staff members, attended.

Along with PRESENCE, JOY, Yuki Hoshina, Immanuel, and Gifts also performed. Staff members commented that the program structure was excellent, noting that attendees remained calmly seated until the end, while some individuals—who usually do not dance—began dancing spontaneously, much to the staff’s surprise.

Some participants asked if they could record the concert to watch later, while staff members took many photos, asking for permission to post them on blogs and social media.

Many raised their hands and quietly sang along to the gospel songs, some were moved to tears, and by the finale, many stood up and danced. A representative from the facility remarked, “We would love for you to come every month. Please come again!” All glory be to the Lord.
