In the autumn of 2022, Yuki Hoshina suddenly experienced an intense sense of anxiety at her workplace—something he had never felt before. He developed heart palpitations and mild hyperventilation, and after visiting a psychosomatic clinic, he was diagnosed with panic disorder.
Panic disorder is a condition in which sudden and overwhelming fear—often accompanied by symptoms such as palpitations, shortness of breath, nausea, trembling, dizziness, and sweating—occurs without an apparent cause. Although individual attacks usually subside naturally within about ten minutes, their unexpected nature often leads to persistent anxiety about future episodes.
From that day, he began taking anti-anxiety medication. Although he had not previously struggled with tension, he began to feel intense anxiety and later shared that during special praise times at Sunday worship, he sometimes felt as if he wanted to escape from the situation.
During this period, he continued to give thanks to God, pray, and sing “Kankan Kansha,” while also receiving intercessory prayer from members of the church. Through this, his symptoms gradually began to ease.
Subsequently, he contracted COVID-19, and his physical condition became very severe. During that time, he forgot to take his panic disorder medication and took only the medication prescribed for COVID.
After recovering from COVID, a day came when he stood to serve in praise ministry without having taken his panic medication for some time. On the day of the service, he realized he had not taken it. Although abruptly stopping antidepressant or anti-anxiety medication can sometimes cause withdrawal symptoms, he experienced no difficulties at all and was able to sing joyfully and freely from her heart.
At that moment, he realized that she had been completely healed.
Furthermore, on that same day of praise ministry, he received an invitation from a large church in Shizuoka Prefecture after someone there had watched the music video for “Kankan Kansha.” Since then, he has already served there four times and has been given opportunities to share his testimony of healing from panic disorder.
At present, his panic symptoms have been fully healed, and he continues to serve joyfully in praise ministry in various locations.
