“Yorokobi” a praise band of Yokkaichi Zion church got a request from Yokaiichi city social welfare council, and visited the facility to hold a concert.
More than 100 people including parents attended the concert.
There was a tense atmosphere at first, but as we sing on, some people sang together opening their month widely. When we started Christmas songs together with everyone, some people came to both side in front and sang, so the concert got into swing spontaneously.
When we did the hand play “We give thanks”, everyone took part and concentrated, it became joyful time.
There was a person who started to shed tears as we started to sing gospel, and kept weeping till the end of one song with red eyes, after a while, when we started to sing next song, the person started to weep again, tears never stopped, cheeks of the person became red too.
And we sang “Okina ai” in a applause for an encore. Staffs told us “It was first time for me to listen to gospel, but it was very good. I was healed”, member of that facility asked the staff “You were singing with them even though it was first time. Why?” then the staff said “Because I have heard the song on the street”, we were deeply moved.
