Gospel group “Gifts” and “Gospel Seed” joined the Japan Organ Transplant Support Charity Concert on February 15^th.  Professional singer Jello who joined Red and White Singing Battle joined the concert too.  They all sang the theme song at last.  Some of the audiences were touched with tears by the songs.  They also had connections in the beauty industries.

Hyogo Philadelphia Church Praise Team held a Street Live performance and Street Preach in front of JR Ohtsu train station in Ohtsu City, Shiga Prefecture on Wed. February 15^th.  They sang songs from Yasuragi song book, they did the street preach, and they gave tracts to the people there.  A lot of people stopped and listened to them.  They also had met with some Christians.  While they were having live performance, 4 high school students asked them the songs’ lyrics.  They handed Yasuragi song book Vol.11 to those high school students, they sung with them, and two of them got saved.  Hallelujah!  We give thanks to the Lord!

Gospel Group True Vine is going to participate “Yamanashi Prefecture Popular Music Festival”.  Both Professional singers and amateur singers can apply.  True Vine passed the first tryouts, so they will go to the final contest which will be held on March 4^th.  They were given “Superior Prize” and “Encouragement Prize” before, but this time they try to receive “Grand Prize”.

On Thursday 9, Feb., a gospel group “PATOLIS” held a concert at a inpatients’ ward of a certain hospital in Kushiro, Hokkaido. The audience was touched and moved to tears. The person in charge of the hospital kept a news story which PATOLIS was posted on the local newspaper. And she suppose them to request a concert someday. We give thanks to the Lord.

Bro. Steve and his friends will take part in our retreat called “Thanksgiving and Praise and Revival Camp” at 7:00 pm on Thursday 29, March in LA. They plan on giving their comments to each Gospel group’s performance. Also Music & Media Conference will be held from 4 through 7 October, in LA. Bro. Steve is a host of GMWA, Biggest Music Workshop Association as the LA division. So he invites a few Gospel groups to join the workshop. We’d like to prefer some groups among them. Please don’t hesitate to join the camp!

A newcomer who was interested in Merlin Carothers attended our worship service on 12 February as he visited Tokyo Antioch Church’s website. Our website was used.

On Sunday 12, February, Kitakyusyu Living God Church’s praise band “J-Gospel Praise Band of Heaven” held a J-Gospel concert at Izutsu Kurosaki Mall at Hachiman ward in Fukuoka. A lot of people from the hall, taxi stands, bus stops and platforms of Kurosaki station listened to their performances attentively. The playbills had gone as soon as the concert had started. There was a man from overseas took our pictures by his mobile phone. And some of them said, “What a peaceful song!” “I was touched”. There was a lady who had joined before sit at the front of the stage and listened to the music the whole time, saying “I enjoyed. I want to come again” The concert was a real blessing. We give thanks to the Lord!

There was a person had a liver cirrhosis. He belongs to Tokyo Antioch Church. Because the doctor said that his days are numbered, he asked us to be prayed for his healing. So we went to the hospital to pray for him. After we prayed, he felt better and left the hospital and attend Tokyo Charismatic Meeting yesterday. We give thanks to the Lord because He healed him.

The Gospel club “VOICE” had opportunity to praise in the park where held “Sakura Festival” near Okinawa Jerusalem Church. Each member praised four lyrics from “Yasurginouta” for 20 minutes. They sang to the Lord with all their hearts. Some guests beat time their hands accompanied with the music at the end of the concert, and others called out to us, “Your performance is very good.” We give God thanks.

Gospel live concert was held at APITA shopping mall at the center of Yokkaichi. They had the concert there once a month. Nine Gospel teams of Yokkaichi Zion Church took part in the concert. There were the most numerous guests listening to their performances.

Japanese Brazilian Christians heard attentively the Gospel music at the end of the concert. They were touched, and told us that they would like to come next concert again.

A lady who play a piano said, “I thought I would go home after listening to one song by children. However I was attracted the Gospel music so that I enjoyed at the end. And I gradually understand your Christian. I was touched by your words of songs because they had messages.”

The Result of Second Round of National Gospel Group Contest held in Kanto is as follows;

1st place Gifts and Gospel Seed
3rd place Jerusalem
4th place True Vine and Come&Worship
6th place La Spouza
7th place Kibutsu and Ciel
9th place Uranosu and By His Spirit
Runner-up L’abeille, Euqaristias, and Beatitude

The main vocal of Kibutsu and Ciel was the same so that Kibutsu must be excused the participation. Uranosu and By His Spirit was the same place. Under majority rule, Uranosu will be appeared on the stage in Hakuba by five people’s judge. So By His Spirit is in runner-up place.
