Osaka J-Gospel Club Holds a Concert at a Day Care Service

On Saturday 3 December, Osaka J-Gospel Club held a concert at a Day Care Service in Fukita city, Osaka. The audience also joined them to sing songs and communicate in sign language together as the the number of members was being increasing. The users of the Day Care Center were smiling through the praises. The concert was a real blessing in a lovely atmosphere. Therefore, the Osaka J-gospel Club will give a concert at the same place in the coming month. Give thanks to the Lord.

Suzuka, Matusaka and Kuwana Gospel Club Holds a Concert at a “Sugino-Ko” Special Support Education School

Suzuka, Matusaka and Kuwana Gospel Club gave concerts for junior high school students (December 6) and high school students (December 7) at a Sugino-Ko Special Support Education School in Suzuka city, Mie prefecture. At first, they sang songs for Christmas, then they sang songs from Yasuragi-no-Uta. After finishing the concert, they asked teachers to receive their comments. One schoolboy said “I was so touched and moved to tears”. Another schoolboy said “We needed to hear the Gospel songs. However, more than that, I believe that people who had suffered from the Earthquake will need to listen to the Gospel”. While hearing their comments, the teachers were shedding tears. One schoolgirl said “I was moved, and I was interested in the meaning of the Christmas”. The concert was a real blessing.

Gifts Holds a Concert at a Sendai Phychiatric Medical Center

On December 8, the gospel group Gifts gave a concert at Sendai Phychiatric Medical Center. It was the forth concert in this year that many patients and staffs attended in the concert, and the number of the audience was the most numerous before that. There were an audience of more than 100 gathering in it even standees were allowed. Many people were very touched so that Gifts was invited by another hospital to give a concert next time. One man said that he felt sick in the morning, but after he attended the concert, he had got well. It was an impressive concert. We give thanks to the Lord.

Nagaoka Gospel Club Holds a Concert at a Home for the Aged.

On Saturday 3 December, the Nagaoka Gospel Club held a concert to sing Gospel songs and Japanese children songs at a small home for the aged in Kashiwazaki city, Niigata. The concert was a blessing with newcomers in a fresh atmosphere. At first, they started to practice a high point of the lyrics entitled “Ohkina-Ai (Great Love)” form Yasuragi songs with the attendance. When the attendance was going to sing the lyrics with their lovely voices, the Gospel Club was very moved.

After finishing the concert, they said “We had a nice time in the concert”. The Gospel Club had joined in the time of snacks. So we really thank the Lord to protect and work with us. The next day, Sunday, in uncertain weather, they could see a rainbow on the way to and from church. Also they could see the rainbow from their church. Praise the name of the Lord.

A Praise Band of Matuyama Church Holds a Concert at a Day Care

On Wednesday 7 December, a Praise Band of Matuyama Church Grace & Joy gave a volunteer concert at a Day Care Center in Matuyama city. A woman who had suffered from Alzheimer disease sang songs together with her lovely face. Some of them were nodding their heads with their smiling faces when they heard the music. Another listened to the music with beating their hands to songs. Everybody was looking forward to the concert so that they were very pleased. I give thanks with all my heart to Jesus Christ, our Lord!

Gifts Holds a Concert At a Hospital in Sendai

On December 7, a gospel group Gifts gave a concert at Social Insurance Hospital (Shakai-Hoken-Byoin) in Sendai. The hospital accepted many dialysis patients after the Earthquake, while other hospitals refused those patients.

Gifts was invited to the hospital by a nurse who they met at the Japan Society of Nursing in Yokohama. More than hundred people including doctors, nurses, and patients gathered together and some people had to stand. Many people were weeping. About thirty CD’s were sold. Poeple said things like: “I am touched by the fact that I was able to meet you,” and “I am scheduled for surgery tomorrow. And I was strengthened by your concert.” The concert was greatly blessed by God and we give thanks to the Lord.

 

Christmas Charity Gospel Concert in Kashiwa

On December 6, a Christmas Charity Gospel Concert was held in Kashiwa by Safaiya (previously Akashiya) with Holy of Holies as a guest. In the concert movies were shown on Great East Japan Earthquake, Kokoro-Gospel, which will be held on December 20, and on the introduction of Yasuragi songs. At the end of the concert, a song, “Ookina-Ai (Great Love),” was sung together with the audience. The concert was organized so that the audience can enjoy singing the songs of Yasuragi together with the performer. A lady came who heard the songs sung by Safaiya on the street before the concert. Some bought the CD’s after the concert. Other said that they would like to join the Kokoro-Gospel concert and the Hakuba Camp. We praise the Lord for His blessings and grace on the concert.

Newcomers coming to Church

Three elementary school students have come to Tokyo Antioch Church. They joined the Church School and cheerfully sang songs of worship together. They confessed their faith in Jesus and stayed for the Young Worship Service. They also participated in the Holy Communion for the first time. They said they would come to church on next Sunday again.

There was a newcomer who searched on the Internet for the verse, “Though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry,”(Habakkuk 2:3) and found Tokyo Antioch Church. And he came to the worship service.

 

Kochi J Gospel Club held a Christmas Street Concert at a Supermarket in Kochi City

Kochi J Gospel Club held a Christmas Concert at Sunny Mart of Azono Branch in Kochi City. They sung Christmas Carols and some songs from Yasuragi Song Books.

When they sung songs from Yasuragi Song Books, God’s presence was manifested greatly and they could tell the difference clearly. Shoppers, people of the surrounding area, and men who were waiting for their families sitting on the chairs gave their applause.

There was a man who closed his eyes and listened carefully and also there was a person who bought some ice cream for them. The Christmas Concert was blessed by God.

A Gospel Group named Jerusalem Holds a Concert in a Relaxation Room at Tokyo Stone Sauna.

On Sunday 4 December, from 3pm, a gospel group Jerusalem held a mini-concert in a relaxation room at Tokyo Stone Sauna. The concert was held due to a request for the president of Tokyo Stone Sauna for Christmas music to be performed every week. So they were invited to hold concerts every Sunday. The president, the staff and the guests attended the concert to hear the music.

Some of them were moved to tears from beginning to end, and listened to the performance attentively. The president was really touched and said, “It is marvelous!”. He was very pleased and asked, “Would you mind having concerts on weekdays, too?”. In all, they had a wonderful time in the presence of God.

Gifts’ concert has been appeared in a magazine of cable TV.

A person who is in charge of a cable TV magazine named “JCN plus” in Chiba pref. saw Gifts’ home page, and made a telephone call to Gifts. He said, “If you are scheduled to have a concert in Chiba, we would like to advertise it on our page titled “Places where you would be able to enjoy music for Christmas”. The notice of the concert has been appeared on the December 9th issue of the magazine. And now they are receiving inquiries by phone from many people who want to know about the concert.

A women who had a dragging foot causing of a pain was healed

One member, the TLCCC Kita-kyusyu Living God Church, who had a dragging foot causing of a pain was healed. She hurt her ankle on Saturday. When she came to a Sunday service, she was prayed for healing. Firstly, she could not lift up her foot because of the pain. However after that, she could lift it up and she felt comfortable now. “It is marvelous.”, she said. When a pastor called her and asked her “how is your foot?” She was pleased and said “Yesterday I went to the church service dragging my foot because of the pain, but the pain has been gone. I was healed.” Then I remembered when she was leaving church yesterday, she was not dragging her foot but walking normally. I give thanks to the Lord. Because God healed her.

Splendor Gospel Club had a concert in a youth hostel

On Saturday night 3 December, Splendor Gospel Club had a concert in a youth hostel in Osaka. When the concert started that many people came to the lobby, and stayed to listen to their performances to the end. They practiced sign language together. When the lyrics of “God is love” had been sung, almost all audiences made letter L with their fingers. There was call for an encore, and everyone was very delighted. We give thanks to the Lord.
