Isoyama J Gospel club of Yokkaichi Zion church held a visiting concert at a friend club. When we entered the venue, about 50 people gathered and were waiting for us. Most of them are 80 to 90 years old with the oldest 103 years old. However, they were unbelievably cheerful and energetic.
Staffs also welcomed us together. They said, “We have been expecting the first gospel!” We said, “We are a gospel group of senior citizens of 75 to 80 years old!” Then they looked surprised and we had a sense of oneness.
We sang 6 songs from “Peaceful Songs” and “Sound of Wind” and 2 folk songs. They were listening to gospel attentively, nodding.
Ms. M, an 80 years old lady made us enjoy by harmonising with her beautiful voice, singing and doing sign language.
The facility head was very happy, saying, “Please come again!”, “It was very nice! Thank you!”, “Please come again!”
We had their handmade deserts and when we left the venue, they sent us with their big clapping hands.
