On Friday, 23 December, the praise band of Okayama Philadelphia Church took part in the Christmas concert that was held at a self-support home for intellectual disabilities in Kurashiki-city, Okayama. There was an audience of around 100 people gathered together. They had an opportunity to sing “Joy to the World” and the lyrics from “Yasuragi-no-Uta” for 30 minitues. After the concert, they received the comment from a representative, “What a wonderful concert.” And a candy box was given to them. The concert was a real blessing. We give thanks to the Lord.

Niigata J-Gospel Club of Church on the River of Water of Life was invited at a Christmas party by the Honami-no-Sato special care home for the aged people on 25 December. They had an opportunity to sing hymns for Christmas, the lyrics of “Ohkina-Ai (Great Love)” from Yasuragi-no-Uta and so on. It was the fifth concert to be invited the same place at the Christmas party. The aged people in the home enjoy the annual concert. There was one person who asked to receive a score of “Eien-no-Ai (Eternal Love).” After she received it, she practiced a lot. So she became to play the song accompanied with piano. And the Gospel Club received the comments, “I was touched by the J-Gospel, and I was relaxed.” And the staff members asked, “Please come our home again not only for the Christmas time.”

On 25 December, 2011, the Winter Concert “Kagayaku-Hikari-no-Naka-wo (In the Glory of the light)” was held at Tokyo Antioch Church.

The eleven Gospel groups in all appeared on Gospel Live TV, and each Gospel group’s praise was so wonderful.

On 25 December, the children of the Cornerstone orphanage in Cambodia sang J-Gospel songs in the church of the mission school. They practiced singing a lot, and they sang J-Gospel songs in Japanese and English. When they finished singing, they looked very relieved.

On the morning of 23 December after 10:00 am, Hirosima-Kure Church of God praised on the Chuou-Skaikawa street in Kure city. It was a warm day, and they praised 10 lyrics from Yasuragi-no-Uta and Christmas songs. After the street praise, they had a evangelistic meeting and a love feast for lunch. Some elderly ladies who listened to their music jointed the gathering together.

On Friday, 23 December, a praise band of Kita-Kyusyu Living God Church held a Christmas Gospel Concert at Kita-Kyusyu Airport. It was the 100th concert for them. Many people heard their music at the airport. When they sang a Christmas song, one schoolgirl joyfully sang along with the praise band. Her family delightfully took the picture of the scene. And a young foreigner recorded our music on iPhone, and another said, “Could you tell me how to join your praise band. Because I’d like to tell one of my friends who loves Gospel.” Besides, one person received Jesus Christ in the concert. God’s blessing has been poured out abundantly in the concert.

A charity concert for establishing orphanage in Japan was held on the 24th December at Sakuraza, in Kofu. Those who performed were True Vine, Gifts, Come&Worship and Kofu Gospel Club. On the concert day, the person in charge of Sakuraza sympathized with orphanes, and he offered his help to let more people to know about the concert other than the people who come to the hall. So he allowed the concert to be broadcast on the USTREAM for many people to know Gospel and their activity to establish orphanage. They received many nice comments like, “My hurt feelings was healed and I was empowered.”, “I was touched.”, “I had a good time listening to touching songs.” and so on. They collected a donation of about 50,000 yen. We give thanks to the Lord.

Gospel Seed was invited to Matsuzaka, and held a concert at Apita. The reaction for the 2 stages were very good. The audience was listening to the songs seriously. By a sudden change, Gospel Seed, Matsuzaka Gospel club and J Gospel Nagoya praised all together in the first half of the concert. It was a fruitful concert with someone who wants to join the Gospel Club.

In the afternoon on the 23rd December, Splendor was invited to the Christmas concert held at a facility of disabled, which is ran by Fuji Sankei Group located  in Ikeda, Osaka, and they held a gospel concert for about 45 minutes singing mainly songs from ‘Yasuragi no Uta’, or ‘Peaceful Songs’. Approximately 100 people joined including the staff members. It was a very blessed concert with many audiences went to the front and danced together at the last song, ‘God is Love’. Young staff members commented that they could not help crying by listening to the songs. They requested Splendor for the next concert.

The praising team of Fuji had two volunteer concerts in the morning and afternoon on the 24th December.  In the morning, they sang mostly Yasuragi no Uta, the peaceful songs with audio vidual background for lively primary school children at a tuition center of Hakonami.  The children listened carefully to the J-Gospel that they listen for the 1st time and enjoyed by clapping hands and shaking heads to each songs and applauded to the video show.

In the afternoon, they had Christmas concert at a facility of a hospital at Fuji city  for about one hour for about 50 people including hospital staffs.  When ‘Silent nigh, holy night’ was sang, they sang together in a loud voice.  When ‘Kagayaku Hikari no Nakao’ was sang and their faces were on the screen, they had a friendly reaction to it.  When the Lord’s presence was deeply poured out, people listened to the music seriously.

People seemed to have been touched very well.  The one in charge of the facility commented that ‘ It was the best Christmas Eve for us’.  They used the audio vidual for the concert for the first time , which was blessed. We praise our Lord!

Today, the Gospel Concert called “Winter Concert” will be held at 5:00 p.m at Tokyo Antioch Church. The concert will be broadcast on the Internet. The title is called “In the Dazzling Light”. Admission free. We look forward to seeing you there.

On Friday, 23 December, Sasebo Rainbow Gospel Club was invited at the Christmas party by the facility for the handicapped people to hold a Gospel concert. They sang 10 lyrics from Yasuragi-no-Uta and Christmas songs in front of the users in the facility, the families and about 30 staff members. Everybody was singing rhythms together, and they willingly listening to the music.

On 21 December, Fukuoka J-Gospel Club of the Crown of Life Fukuoka Church gave a Christmas concert at the care center for the aged people in Nishi-ku, Fukuoka-city. This is the first time to use the facility, and about 100 people was gathered. The audience listened to Yasuragi-no-Uta  and hymns for Christmas attentively. There were many  old men and women with an advanced disease. However, some of them shed tears, and another were rocking gently while listening to the music. the staff members were touched, and said, “Please come again!.” We thank the Lord.

On 23 December, the praise band “”Wing” of Sapporo Philadelphia Church and “Anointed” of Obihiro Church held a Christmas Gospel Concert at the day care center. The concert was held due to a request for one who saw the photo of Pastor Samuel Suga on a wheelchair on Wing’s blog. A manager at the center introduced Pastor Suga. He shared with them about his testimony, saying, “God healed me. I was a bedridden old man. However, now, I can walk. So everyone, don’t worry. Keep going.” By his testimony, all the audience was encouraged. At the end of the concert, the manager mentioned, “Your singing voice is just like to take all cares away in this world.” We give all glory to the Lord.

On Friday, the gospel group “Gifts” held three concerts in Yokkaichi. They gave the lunch time concert in a fashionable restaurant, the Gospel concert at Yokkaichi Zion Church, and the event in the shopping center. There were a lot of people gathering in each concert, and a Yokkaichi city councilor was really touched and moved to tears. About 70 copies of CD’s were sold on only Friday. We give thanks to the Lord.

On 24 December, a charity concert toward establishing the orphanage in Japan (Children’s nursing home) is broadcast. A man in charge of the Sakuraza was touched by the works of the orphanage, and he said, “I’d like to broadcast a concert so that more many people would be able to realize the necessity of the orphanage.” The result of that, the live concert on the USTREAM was put into practice.
