On August 31 on Fri. in the afternoon, a praise band from Hyogo Philadelphia Church held a concert for one hour at a care home for the intellectual disability people in Inagawa Town, Hyogo. They performed once two months. There were about 30 people including the staff members attended the concert. Some stood and danced accompanied with the uptempo song. The concert has been really exciting. After the concert, one person confessed his/her faith and was saved. We thank the Lord.
“Gifts” and “Anointed” held a gospel concert at an event named “Tokachi Marche” in Obihiro. A total of 400 – 500 people including a Deputy Mayor listened to the gospel music. The CDs were sold, and they could exchange their name cards. We expect of future developments. Thank you.
On August 30, “Jubilee Team” in Yokkaichi Zion church held a concert at Tamada hospital due to a request for Social Welfare Council. First they said, “Please don’t reject our request”. There were about 30 people attending the concert. In the beginning, they sang some songs from “Yasuragi” mucis, and then on they sang a song loudly with a harmonica. It made a nostalgic atmosphere. When we sang the song of “Thank You” with sign language, the audience sang with us together, and their hearts were softened. Without our knowledge, the staff members and people from another hospital ward joined the concert. Because the presence of the Lord poured out, they were moved to tears, saying, “What wonderful songs! We found peace. We’d like to tell another people. Please come again.” All of the members were really appreciated.
Today, “Gifts” performs live at a street in front of Obihiro Station. While singing several songs, a person in charge of an event came and requested to perform at Tokachi Marche. The event will start tomorrow.
Tomorrow, “Gifts” and “Anointed” will perform at the event. It is said to be a big event in Obihiro. We thank the Lord.
Because Pastor Daniel Mori will move, Rev. Paul Kitano was appointed as the pastor of North Jerusalem Church (Asahikawa) and Israel’s God’s Glory Church (Kushiro). Sister Orito was appointed as the associate pastor of Israel’s God’s Glory Church (Kushiro).
The Lord worked through a pastor of Kitakyushu Church of Living God. One resident at a place where the pastor works part time was healed from backache and numbness in feet. While he was talking with this person, he found the person put waist belt for backache because of suffering from severe back pain and had numbness in feet. Then, he testified he is a pastor and prayed for God’s healing. As soon as he prayed, the Lord worked and soon back pain and numbness in feet was healed. That person was glad. We wholeheartedly give thanks to the Lord who healed.
In Funabashi Christ Church, they continued to pray for their new chapel for one year. This August, they exchanged contract, “Our business is Christianity.” and a new chapel was opened in a part of the building used for offices. It was difficult to rent as a church but we give thanks to the Lord who answer prayer.
It’s five minutes, and the space of the chapel and the cost of renting is exactly the same as they prayed. It is amazing. Praise the Lord.
The service of chapel dedication of Funabashi Christ Church is on Friday, October 5th with Rev. Paul Akimoto and Gifts for a special song as guests. Funabashi Charismatic Meeting is held at the same place and the same time.
Today Gifts held a concert at Hitsujigaoka Observatory. Since it is a sight seeing spot, many people listened to our songs. Many poeple came to the concert at a place which has a bird’s-eye view of the whole city of Sapporo. CDs were also sold, and it was a wonderful concert. We thank God.
Pastor Daniel Mori in Israel’s God’s Glory Church (Kushiro) will move to Tokyo Antioch Church. Pray for their work in Tokyo.
On Wednesday August 29, Gifts held a concert at Aeon in Ebetsu. More than fifty people listened to the concert. Someone bought a bouquet on the spot and gave us. A professional photographer took our pictures. Many bought our CDs. A woman said, “I see your faces on TV, I’m glad that I met you today.” After the concert a rainbow appeared above Aeon. We thank God.
Songs for Yasuragi 12 are now being selected. Pastor Akimoto and other members of the selection committee are listening to the songs. Fives songs were applied later and the total application became 340 songs. The deadline of the selection is the beginning of September. It takes a lot of hard work to listen to all of 340 songs. This year the songs are recoreded newly and there are many new songs. Please pray so that God’s will be done in the selection!
A praise band from Atsugi Church and “Euqaristias” held a concert at a care home for the mentally disabled people. It was a blessed concert. As soon as we started to sing some songs from “Yasuragi” music, the audience listened attentively. A special needs teacher joined our performance, which made the staff there very happy. Also, the members in Atsugi Church were touched and moved to tears by wonderful songs from “Yasuragi”.
A person who had a brain infarction was healed in a retreat hosted by Jerusalem Glory of the Lord Church (Kumamoto). He was able to speak and have some meals during the retreat. We give thanks the Lord’s healing.
NPO The Cornerstone Orphanage and The Fukuoka Partner Association will be held an exhibition using panels entitled “Request for Support to Build a Children’s Care Center in Fukushima” at Fukuoka Airport from 5 through 28 September. We will exhibit panels for a needy to build a children’s care center as well as The Cornerstone Orphanage in action supporting orphanages in all the world. We wish many people will visit at the exhibition.
On Sun. 26 August, “Jerusalem” performed live at Musashisakai. Many people called out to them. One man, who is in charge of events of Seibu Railway Company, said, “I’m in charge of events in PePe Square at Shinjuku. I’m able to give some places for live” We praise the name of the Lord!
The number of applied songs for “Yasuragi no uta” the 12th series was 340 songs all together ultimately.
